A project · in the works

hinchario

in-CHAH-ree-oh · from hincha (fan) and diario (diary)

Notebooks, spreadsheets, tickets in shoeboxes.
The memory belongs to us.

An app for those who don't just watch football matches — they collect them. A directory for supporters, a diary for matches. For your grounds, your travels, your memories — properly documented, beautifully told, kept by you.

Why
this project.

Since my early childhood in the late 1980s, I've stood at the touchline. Home matches at the Joggeli, Champions League nights against Manchester United, a Superclásico at the Monumental, amateur football on a Sunday morning. Over 1,200 matches across 181 grounds, in 16 countries.

Like so many others, I documented all of it for years — first in notebooks, then in spreadsheets, eventually in an app. The longer I collect, the clearer it becomes: the digital tools we use today aren't built for the way we actually collect. They tally, but they don't tell. They list grounds, but they don't preserve evenings.

I'm building the app I'm missing. And probably plenty of others are too.

Four principles,
we won't compromise on.

01

No ground is too small.

Lower-league pitches, village clubs, midweek friendlies — it all counts. If you want to record it, you can record it.

02

Your data is yours.

Full export rights. Offline mode. Gentle migration from spreadsheets, other apps, old notebooks. Nothing should get lost — not when you change phones, not when you change apps.

03

Matches are stories.

Room for notes, photos, weather, who you went with, the small asides. Optional, never required — for everyone who keeps more than just numbers.

04

Community before competition.

Friends, shared tips, shared trips come first. Leaderboards exist — but for those who want to see them, not the first thing you see when you open the app. Football trips are better together.

What
happens next.

Spring 26
Voices from the scene
A survey and follow-up conversations to sharpen the concept. What's actually missing? What isn't needed?
Summer 26
Clickable prototype
The first screens. Tested with a small circle, on real grounds and stadium benches.
Autumn 26
Crowdfunding campaign
A community funding round for everyone who wants to back the project — with thank-you tiers that fit the project.
Winter 26 / 27
Closed beta
A few seasons of joint testing before anything goes public.
Spring 27
Public launch
iOS and Android. Fairly priced. No advertising. Built for those who take it seriously.

A question for you.
Or thirteen.

I'm not building this app on my own. Your answers — anonymous if you prefer, around 8 minutes — help me build it so it actually fits. Nothing is required.

A · Your collecting today
B · What's missing, what you want
C · What would it be worth to you?
D · Optional, personal

Your answers go straight to my inbox — no third-party databases, no tracking, no analytics. If you give an email address, I'll only use it for the deeper round we mentioned, or for a brief follow-up question on your answer.
